Definitive Audiophile pressings

blonde on blonde is available at the ingroove is anybody missed it!
On the subject of Mr. Dylan, I'm in need of Blood on the Tracks, any recommendations beyond the MoFi's?

For Blood On The Tracks, hunt down the UK Absolute Analogue pressing from 1998. It is amazing and IMO better than the MOFI.

Or, as an alternative, hunt down the 2019 Blood On The Tracks Test Pressing, which I actually prefer significantly to the released album.

I really love that test pressing release. Hadn't heard of the Absolute Analogue series before but they have some cool releases it seems, although not many.

I have no complaints about my US Original. Not that expensive either to find in good condition. The One-Step of course is the creme de la creme

Don't tell anyone - but I don't own Blonde On Blonde.

This sent me down a rabbit hole. I have an older press but wasn’t sure specifically which version. Looks like there were 3 different back album covers during its early vinyl run. I stumbled across this nice resource…

Which made it much easier to determine I have this pressing…

It sounds pretty damn good especially considering the $2.00 I paid for it 15 years ago at the WGLO record fair.

I’ve got an original, mofi, mofi one step, and the test pressing release. They’re all good.

I have had all of them. I didn’t rate the original MoFi tbh, weakest Dylan mastering job MoFi did. The one step is stellar. The test pressing is nice and a good press but I agree with his brother, it gets a bit samey and, for me, the re-recorded versions of half of the album significantly raise the level of the final release.

It came with the Mono box and if I recall I think they average price per LP was something like $16 per LP which is completely reasonable but I am not a big enough fan to repurchase a MoFi of this for $90.
I'm kind of here as well, I like Dylan enough to want to have some of his "acclaimed" discography in my collection, but not enough to drop serious cash on it............BUT, don't want a crappy pressing. The Mono Box covered a big chunk in one swoop, leaving BOTT as the hole. So it's either the Absolute Analog or an OG in time, me thinks.

Speaking of test pressing, does anyone have a link for this? I couldn't find it.

Yeah if you want a nice copy and don’t want to spend the earth it’s definitely an album that would reward digging til you find the right OG for sure.

This is the EU release that I have. I think there is a separate entry for the US one. It ain’t cheap either though!

Ah, the RSD, that's what I thought but it didn't come up with the regular listings, maybe because its Blood on the Tracks TEST PRESSING.

Either way, thanks ;)
