Definitive Audiophile pressings

Interestingly it seems the Craft One Step of Relaxin was cut multiple times years apart (according to the RTI codes). That’s probably why some people got the full signature while others got just the BG in the dead wax. Kinda sounds like they had planned to just do 1,000 of this one too before the series got so popular
Probably Covid shutdown induced

Nah I think it’s because they had already cut 1,000 to release soon after Eastern Sounds but the demand was greater than they thought so they held back a bumped it up to 5,000 copies. All the copyrights on the jackets and things say 2020 and we know this series has been in the works for a few years

Was just about to but the craft anniversary reissue of the Taking Back Sunday debut and I was wondering what one step emo would be like 🤔

how would they know the demand if pre-orders were not live until a month ago?

I did see someone on the Cogs tried to edit the release page and they flipped him the bird.

So what's the word on the Miles Relaxin One-step? I see it is still available. I'm tempted to upgrade from my RTI-pressed OJC copy.

Edit: looks like some Discogs reviews complaining about off-center pressings and their records being very dirty/scuffed out the sleeve. Not a good sign for a $110 record.

1000 would've been fine in the pre-pandemic vinyl boom days. Remember when Music Matters dropped FIVE HUNDRED of the SRX's in 2020? Not even 1000, and those titles were even more popular.

I think it’s fantastic. Sound-wise, it’s not quite as good as the Eastern Sounds one step but better than Lush Life. Mine is dead silent in quiet sections. Don’t have any other pressings to compare to though

I think that was Craft’s thinking too. This whole series went into production before the pandemic. Other Craft albums were limited to 1,000 and were in stock for ages
