Definitive Audiophile pressings

Another one out of the package. VG+

1973 JP release
Some scratches affecting playback.

The music is magic.
Haven't A/B with 2016 copy but it sounds a lot more organic and just floating musical at first glance.

I just received this one that was listed as EX and it's pristine. I've had more copies of this record than I can count and this is by far the quietest I've ever heard. Sounds fantastic. (RC listed this as a 1973 release, but it's actually a 1974 repress.)

Was just a quick listen today... But I was picking up some trombone or tuba I didn't remember before.

Genius. I used to go to a bar that had a cd jukebox. Had some great cds that people weaponized: PIL, 2nd Stooges album, Lou’s Metal Music.
My favorite has always been The Allman Bros. Band’s “Mountain Jam”, depending on the circumstances, nothing will piss off a group of obnoxious sorority girls looking to dance on a bar faster than 33 minutes and 41 seconds of instrumental Southern Rock.

I suck at instrumental call outs. So cut me some slack.

I listened again... It's the organ (I think) in the front part of Time that seems more apparent than before.
It’s always so cool when you hear something you’ve never heard before! My comment wasn’t a criticism, just surprise. I remember back in the 90s I bought the CD reissues of Sticky Fingers. On came Brown Sugar and I had never noticed the sax before. Completely changed the song for me.

Peace.

It's challenging to tell a bunch of strangers (internet friends) WTF I'm trying to say, especially hear sometimes.

But I agree picking up the additional nuances with music can be an experience.

Spent 25+ years listening to this one album digitally. Just now unwinding the analog fruits it holds.

Moving on to the '77 copy of Animals.
Another VG+
The jacket, sleeve and contents are all there. A little UV damage that doesn't really bother me.

Music sounds great.
I have no idea how the large scratch at 5 o'clock is not audible but we are not questioning the Pink Floyd gods. They somehow kept the grooves clean... Big win for the VG+ purchase.
