Definitive Audiophile pressings

Oh if they're up for repress then definitely check those two out. Really nice packaging and a good mix of more traditional stuff and also stylistically Eastern stuff using a mix of traditional Japanese instruments etc...
The BBE J Jazz comps are up for repress. If you were talking about the spiritual jazz comps, no clue if those will be repressed but they are all excellent!

I feel like I appreciate it the appropriate amount. It’s relaxing and pleasant and sometimes that is all someone is looking for in a jazz record. Twitter, Reddit, and YouTube in particular I’ve seen many folks fawning over this album as though it’s second coming of Sunday At The Village Vanguard or something.

I am just feeling a bit disconnected is all. Seeing if there was something profound or nuanced I was missing since I am hardly a Jazz buff and I value N&G’s opinions on such things.
The fawning over it started with people finding it through the YouTube algorithms. It got this status as a really rare jazz album and then started getting reissued and selling out. I think it introduced a lot of people to jazz as well. I agree…it’s fine. It’s a nice enough record to throw on sometimes but it’s hardly the first jazz album I put on when I want something mellow (no pun intended) to listen to.

Some of the other Fukui discography is very good as well, not just Scenery.

(Also @Mather will be horrified to know I own four copies of Aja... and will be buying a fifth if AP wind up doing that one in the future.)
Little known fact. If you were to play all of those copies of Aja simultaneously, at the moment dueling sax solo #1 reaches fever pitch you would create what's known in scientific circles as a "Sax-ularity". It has been hypothesized that in such an instance all life on planet Earth would immediately cease to exist.
Because, science and nature can only take so much abuse.

Re: Bill Evans You Muet Believe In Spring

2 spins in the HG took care of 95% of the noise. Still some light ticks top of Side 3 and 4 but gone within the first minute or so. Not motivated enough to do replacement roulette.

All this to say, it’s a dirty press. Make sure you give it a couple cleans if it sounds noisy

Still highly recommend the IPA mix in with the US cleaning solutions. It's a game changer for the final pristine cleaning.

On another note-
I couldn't help myself with dipping my face in the Japanese Floyd punch bowl again.

These are all EX 1st pressings, except Meddle which is another VG+ wild card, but still 1st pressing. Life is short and this stuff is not getting any cheaper 🥃

Also sharing this handy dandy link for anyone else looking at the JP PF rubik's cube.

As noted elsewhere, I’m very happy with the EX 1974 repress of DSOTM I bought from them recently. This looks like a very promising haul.

Yeah I almost went with the same label as you bought. I feel like I am getting what I pay for from these guys. The prices are very reasonable, especially with today's exchange rates.

They do owe me a bogey that horrible scratch on LZ PG. I'm optimistic they will make it right.

I know it isn't old enough to catch the eye of MoFi for a pressing, it is only 32yrs old, but this ORG pressing of Redd Kross - Third Eye is absolutely wonderful. You can really crank it and it still sounds full and clean. My original cd version lacked bottom end. Never noticed it until I did an A/B just now.
I have Almost picked this up on numerous occasions. Your rave review might be push I need to pull the trigger.
