Equipment Recommendations - The Home For New System and Upgrade Advice

Thanks for the advice everyone. Going to take a look at the other recommended pieces and mull it over. I got time and I think what was mentioned in one of the posts is true, I'm looking for a setup that will probably last me forever (in the human time span of forever). Something that I wont have to think too much about besides replacing a stylus or something (y)
That’s always the goal, right? Get a setup to make you stop thinking! So far I haven’t been able to accomplish that 😂

You’ll be fine! A 2M is super easy to install.
i mean i also have to REMOVE the grado....

thats the nervous part.. specifically the wires...

also nervous that the headphones might be the issue since i dont like the 58X being a bit too bassy compared to the grado SR series that really interested me

I’m a heavy handed clutz and I managed it. Just have to be careful and go slow.

There's one way to find out...

The Pangea SE14 or SE9 are really great power cables for the money. I’m really happy with the 4 of them that I bought!
Is there a benefit to using the same brand of power cable throughout your system? I have one, a Shunyata Venom, but I need one to two others.

thoughts on their gift choices, specifically the furniture, cork slipmats (i wondered about going back to cork or going with cork and rubber), and specific record weight
I have a Line Phono stand and I think it’s pretty great for an apartment/bedroom set up. Pretty small footprint but holds a decent amount of records. The shelf for the receiver or preamp is nice and you can pretty much fit your entire rig on it. It’s not cheap (at least when I got mine) but I like it way better than a Kallax if you have a small amount of space and want to store records + have your gear on top.

I have a LinePhono as well. Absolutely love it. A real lifesaver for an apartment, for sure. Only thing to keep in mind is your turntable footprint - my VPI Cliffwood JUST fits without making any contact with the side lips. A MoFi would be too big, though I suspect you’d be able to add a platform underneath and get the plinth to clear.

Yea--My receiver is also on there but doesn't fit on the 2nd shelf, so for now, my TT is on top of my receiver on the very top shelf. I do believe though that they have a newer model since I bought it that has a taller 2nd shelf.

I've had mine for about 3 years now and they didn't have the version with the 7" 2nd shelf so my Rotel just simply doesn't fit.

Also nice John Prine album
Ah! That’s pretty slick. I didn’t realize they offered that as an option. Very cool.

It’s the Kevin Gray remaster from this year. Is anything that man works on ever less than stellar!? RIP JP
