Equipment Recommendations - The Home For New System and Upgrade Advice

Thanks!

I also have a GL69, which is basically a B52. It's my dad's old table, and I need to get a new plinth for it. I met a guy in passing in London that does Lencos up, and he convinced me to go with the 75. Happy to keep it stock for now, then start playing with upgrades.
Yeah I understand they have great potential for modification, but I wouldn't have the heart! LOL There's a forum you could spend a few months poring over for ideas: Lenco Heaven - Forum for The Classic Lenco Idler-Drive Turntables (if you haven't already stumbled into it).

While the UltraDeck is out for service I'm starting to get the itch to mix things up a bit.

I've had the Forte III's for a couple years now and currently running them with dual SVS SB2000's.. love the set up.. love the Klipsch sound. But wanting to see what else is out there. My local dealer just became a distributor for Spendor, and I was considering either A4's or Classic 3/1's. Anyone have any experience with them? I'll hopefully be able to demo a pair of each at home as I'd want to see what kind of a match they'd be for my L550AXii. Also still considering the JBL L100 or L82 Classics...

Now with grado headphones the cartridge is much more controlled

But also the issue was probably because I hadn't cleaned my stylus at all so using an onzow on it meant there was less bloated bass.. I still feel like there might be more of a thump with the 2M blue when I get that, something feels a little flat (like AP pet sounds stereo felt weirdly flat despite the lush orchestration sounding amazing on god only knows)

Got a Musical Fidelity LX2-LPS on the way. I've made the mistake of doing some Googling, and it looks like you can trigger an enhanced power mode if you power it through a 24v power supply rather than the supplied 12v. As is typical with these things, I've seen anecdotal evidence from folks on a forum saying it makes a difference, but I was wondering if anyone here has tried it? At the end of the day it's a £15 experiment, so the cost isn't huge, but it would be good to see if anyone has experience...

I don't have that phonostage, nor have I tried different voltage supplies, but I will say that better power cords have made significant improvements IMO. Anytime you are adding gain, especially 40+ db, anything you can do to improve the power is beneficial in order to reduce electrical noise, which also gets amplified. 15 is pretty cheap by audiophile tweak standards. You should try it out.

Preordered the ELAC Debut Reference, they're currently back ordered, so I gotta be patient.
Meanwhile, anybody got their bookshelf speakers on a wall mount?
Anybody with more experience than me, any downfalls to mounting speakers on a wall?

is it a rear-ported or front-ported speaker? if it's rear-ported you might have too much bass response.
Here is a link from KEF :

Edit: The Debut Reference look like they are front-ported. You're lucky, wall mounted should work
