Just gotta hide the skid away from the boxes. (It makes things seem 50x worse) Then in a couple months you can be like... "I have a pallet we can use from a while back" and all.

Today I had to break the news that... along with the mono blocks we had to put a second sub in... I imagined it being smoother than it went. Oh well. Band-aid off.

Too large for recycling bins, how about tieing cement blocks onto them and dropping in someones pool (The Hoffa method) ?
Of course if you move or resell them not having the original boxes is a bummer.

I actually have a real problem with boxes, I keep them all, always, with the packing materials, it takes up SO MUCH room. These ones I think I'm going to break down the boxes, keep them but toss the materials. They're just too big to keep intact.

With moving into the rental we have a mountain of boxes we need to get rid of, but unfortunately our local recycling centre is closed to the public. I'm just going to have to spread them out over months into the recycling bin! Never really kept boxes before, only done it for our TV, and for my Pro-Ject cleaner as I knew we were moving here.

I mean for all she knows the monoblocks will blow up without the second sub. If she extrapolated that idea it wasn't because I said that. If it kind of sounded that way, who am I to correct her?

Honestly whichever one your turntable manufacturer recommends. You don’t want to get a clamp on a tt that says no or a weight thats too heavy for the bearing.

A Reflex clamp for me on VPI
Sota is the best but very expensive, Michell works great
Make sure clamps are ok on your Fluance, if not Fluance has a weight available for about the same price and I been told the Sleeve city weight is good.
