Seems like the money money you spend on gear, the less it does from a feature standpoint and the more fiddly it is.Not sure that I understand what you are saying. Otherwise, I disagree with this.

That's a interesting question. I don't know if there is a direct answer with so many variables. It's almost like you would be better to experiment and pick the sound you like.Wondering if any of y'all can answer my question regarding mono switches and their benefit. I understand the benefit for phono inputs if you're not using a mono cart. But is there any benefit to other, for example, digital mono sources if you have a mono switch on your amp? From my understanding, wouldn't a digital mono source already do the channel-summing for you?
As well, what if you have moni switches on both amp and phono? I am looking at the Luxman 507 and 509-z and they have mono switches. If you also have one on your phone, would there be a benefit to using both or one over the other (i.e. summing in different parts of the chain)?
I remain in disagreement but that’s just my experience.Seems like the money money you spend on gear, the less it does from a feature standpoint and the more fiddly it is.
