The problem will arise when they start slapping the Macintosh name on hi-end Bose products. Which overtime will degrade the name. At some point they will shut down what makes Macintosh special and instead of having two separate companies catering to different audiences you’re more than likely left with one.

Macintosh will still cost the same and a certain set of consumers will still buy it because of the cache the name carries but what they’ll be buying will likely be Bose equipment with a Macintosh logo.

Anyone any experience with the MoFi MasterPhono? I'm not looking to buy one but every once in a while read up on new offerings and I was only familiar with the less expensive MoFi phono stages. I don't see a lot of reviews on it.

I actually went to school with several engineers who eventually worked for Bose. I found that their engineering capabilities were great but Bose did not always produce products that sounded as good as they measured.

I think it accepts normal rca jacks, it just looks different. I swore someone here had one.

No it has RCA load jack inputs for custom loading separate from cartridge inputs. But I'm unfamiliar with how you accomplish get those types of RCA jacks

Their noise canceling tech is cream of the crop. They definitely have chops.

Yea, I get the concept and purpose and I downloaded the manual and it's like yup you can do this. But.....how???
