That's a bummer.
Can't imagine they're going to want to change much.
Or EVERYTHING!Can't imagine they're going to want to change much.
MIT and Harvard run Cambridge (the city, not the audio company)TIL that MIT is the majority owner of Bose Corporation.

The problem will arise when they start slapping the Macintosh name on hi-end Bose products. Which overtime will degrade the name. At some point they will shut down what makes Macintosh special and instead of having two separate companies catering to different audiences you’re more than likely left with one. Can't imagine they're going to want to change much.
They were the Brookestone of audio.Bose has strong engineering chops but had no path to the high-end. Their need to produce and sell in volume is a very different business model.
I actually went to school with several engineers who eventually worked for Bose. I found that their engineering capabilities were great but Bose did not always produce products that sounded as good as they measured. They were the Brookestone of audio.

Is that a DIY? Do companies sell them?
No it has RCA load jack inputs for custom loading separate from cartridge inputs. But I'm unfamiliar with how you accomplish get those types of RCA jacksI think it accepts normal rca jacks, it just looks different. I swore someone here had one.
Their noise canceling tech is cream of the crop. They definitely have chops.I actually went to school with several engineers who eventually worked for Bose. I found that they engineering was great but they did not always produce products that sounded as good as they measured.
