Equipment Recommendations - The Home For New System and Upgrade Advice

That moment when you realize that your amp has a hidden mono switch:

Well, here’s some odd shit. The output mode doesn’t exist for the headphone amp (this isn’t completely wild because the headphone amp is isolated inside the thing - just funny that they didn’t extend the output options over but I’m no engineer so maybe that would have needed more space or been $$?)

Correct. Not receiver. Taking a line out of something and transmitting the signal over Bluetooth.
I use a Taotronics transmitter/receiver.

I wouldn't classify it as audiophile but it was only like $20-30. I use the transmitter function to put it in my amp's headphone jack if I want to use my BT headphones and walk around the house rather than speakers (or wired headphones 'cause, ya know, then you cannot walk around)

I had a mPow Bluetooth transmitter I picked from Amazon like 10+ years ago. It worked well. I used it with an Awia CD Boombox I had since HS so that I could listen to it with Bluetooth headphones.

You should be able to find something similar on Amazon for around $30 or so I think.

The picture is not the exact model I had, but similar.

Hey gang! Anybody have a bluetooth transmitter they're happy with sonically? Have a stupid little project/idea I'll need one for.
I had this guy linked below for a few years and was pretty happy with it. I think it would solve your need. I only sold it because I ended up with a receiver that had bluetooth built in, otherwise I'd still be using it.

Hey, thanks all!

@folsom_lives - I should have specified, I need one with an analog input. I saw this one and initially thought it was the one until I saw it only has digital inputs.

@Krampus' #1 Diaper Baby - thanks! There seem to be a few at this kind of $20-$40 price range. @mindhead1, I actually have an MPOW for my car that I quite like. I realize this is a little crazy, but I actually use it because it has virtually unnoticeable latency, I sometimes have super long drives for work, and it lets me stream a game with audio in sync. I promise I am keeping my eyes on the road and only doing this on long stretches of interstate!! Haha. I'm thinking of something with a little bit more fidelity if possible, as audio-wise it's definitely more compressed than the built-in BT in my car.

@Pergo - saw that one as well, but unfortunately it's just a receiver, which is the way more common application.

This all has lead me here:

Seems to get universally great feedback amongst a more audio-conscious crowd. Question is, is it worth the extra ~$90 from one of the $40 options available. I mean, I sure like that screen. Haha

Thanks all for the help, keep you posted on what the heck I'm trying here!

Damn these are beauuuuuutiful. He feels they slightly edge out the Lintons with enhanced clarity + detail without sounding cold. Mentions they feel more dynamic and exciting..... I'm tempted off looks alone. He also has them propped up on Linton stands and they look quite nice just like that.
