Equipment Recommendations - The Home For New System and Upgrade Advice

I would probably say Cornwalls because of the asymmetrical layout, but keep in mind them boys are BIG.
Yeah that fireplace and side cabinet are a total pain the ass for speaker placement.. I've decided to just ignore the cabinet doors, they're gunna get blocked by any speaker, the only thing I have to sort about is can the speakers tuck behind the drop downbscreen or can they for next to it. Thankfully they can be moved as need be.... I'll have to go measure because yeah those Cornwall's may be too big for either option.

If you’re going to look at Cornwalls, you might as well look at the Volti Razz, too. Easier to place; similar sensitivity.

Both the Forte and Cornwall (and Razz) have enough sensitivity and dynamics to blow out the space you have. The difference will be the low end cutoff and the ease of placement.

Those look very cool but the main thing with the Forte/Cornwall is one of the locals frequently get open box or trade ins for about half price on the newest model of both. I suspect people don't place them or feed them properly, with the room correction and power on the 3400 I'm not really worried about that. So I can likely grab an almost brand new Cherry Forte IV for about $2000 USD, and a Cornwall for about $4000. I can't afford to go crazy on something that reaches like 10Gs. I'd love a Focal floor stander but the prices are just too high on even the Kanta to pull the trigger.

La Scala’s!!!! You know you want them. You want them. YOU WANT THEM.

I have a question that might be a fun exercise for some, and it's a real scenario a friend is considering so not randomly pulled out of my ass.

You have $30k and you need to do two systems. The first is for a restaurant/bar that has six four-top tables. It has a roof, but walls only up halfway and it's open from the mid point up. The second is for a 600 sqft indoor room, but this one only needs speakers (I think he has the same integrated that I do, a NAD c368 and would keep that but isn't opposed to upgrading). This would be a vinyl bar of sorts just off the beach. Technically the vinyl isn't the point, it's that he's not sure about what to do with his personal collection if he buys this place. Does he sell it and go digital or make it a part of his business to justify the cost of shipping it out of the country, even if it probably won't make him any extra money... But he gets to keep his collection.
