Equipment Recommendations - The Home For New System and Upgrade Advice

I think I've decided to bring the TV forward with a mount, possible tilt and then to mount the center speaker towards the top of the mantle. That will at least maximize the audio.

There simply wouldn't be enough seating if I flip everything to the other side.

If projectors ever get to the point where I'm not sacrificing HDR, I'll definitely consider that route instead of getting a bigger OLED. But for now, I'm in love with the color and lighting that OLED provide.

I appreciate everyone's input and will come through with an update when everything's done.
Take a look at the Hisense projectors to get an idea of how far they’ve come. If I recall correctly, it’s Hisense that is challenging OLED picture quality with non-OLED kit. Laser TVs is their branding, i think. Something to consider if/when you want to make a change.

Yeah both of my current projectors are laser, super bright and like 25,000 hours of "lamp" life.

Last thing regarding projectors, here's a pic of Cyberpunk on PS5 on my laser projector again taken from my couch. It's not OLED levels of HDR. but it's pretty dang good.

Friends, I’ve had two Kenwood CD players crap out on me in the last two years. Does anyone have a recommendations for mid priced players that allow at least 4 CDs at a time? Thanks in advance

Klipsch Forte IV question. What sort of rooms are these ideal for? I'm guessing larger? Bass? Need a sub? @kvetcha?
They work well in a moderately sized space, but they’ve got the output to fill a larger room. They’re pretty confident down to at least 40hz but the deep bass sounds best with some sound reinforcement from a wall or corner. I currently have a sub with them, but they certainly don’t scream out for it and I was running them for nearly a year without.

Have you ever compared them to the Cornwall IV?

What receiver should I be saving up for? Currently have the Dennon 2700 (2022). The 3800 would seem like a smart bet but they are also in financial trouble.

$1500 would be $1k at my dad's shop and is likely the budget. Dont need more than 5.1, but do need phono capabilities.

What's wrong with the 2700? What are you missing with it?

My dad thinks I need more power for these speakers long term. Especially when I ad the sub. Somebody else here mentioned the same thing.

The Kefs I got are notoriously power hungry for bookshelf speakers and I'm noticing I need about +10 decibels for the same volume that I did with the B&Ws.

I'm not in a rush though. Thinking end of year for the sub and on the fence as to whether the amp upgrade is actually necessary. Though having bluetooth capabilities when I move from 3.0 to 5.1 would be nice. And I could, in theory, do the same thing I did when my turntables where I sell off the receiver to close to the whole sale price I paid for it if I upgrade quickly enough.

Something my dad sent me for the curious.
