Everything Video Games!

Best game I've ever played in which I saw a game over screen 1 minute into the game.
How did you get a game over one minute in?! Did you keep begging for that sweet, sweet oblivion? Really, that might be worthwhile to never have to hear that creepy mother voice of the limbic system. The wife heard the opening of the game and was like, "That sounds like the weird kind of game you would play."

That damned tie. I don't want to ruin anything for anyone but that tie was the death of me.

Didn't really have any issues with roll lag last night playing Elden Ring, not sure what the issue was the other day. Maybe the controller batteries were low and just not sending the inputs properly? Anyways, I've been just wandering around fighting stuff as I come across it. Still in the area south of where you start. I found the Watchdog boss I've seen so much about. I'm guessing there's more than one of them in the world? I watched a stream after playing, and they fought it, but the fight didn't have any of those little gargoyle gremlins in the fight, whereas the fight I did had four of them. The Watchdog itself wasn't too hard, but the addition of the ads made things annoying the first few go rounds. I'd take one out right away, then two would rush and the last would use ranged, all while the big one did the slam attacks regularly just to make sure I wasn't ignoring it too much. After I got a good feel for the fight it ended up being a fun one!

How does it compare to the regular switch?

Asking for a friend.
It *feels* nicer. The kickstand is full width and sturdier, the finish on the back is sort of a powdered metal, cool to the touch. The screen is bigger and brighter and has nice OLED blacks.

If you play a lot of handheld it’s a very nice step up. If you’re primarily a docked player perhaps not.

I have only played mine handheld since getting my PS5. And I have only played Pokemon since then as well on the Switch.

But a new Pokemon is coming later this year plus most likely Breath of The Wild 2 so...

Strong rumors of a successor console coming late this year or early next, so maybe hold out for that.

Anyone who played the amazing firewatch, you can order it’s score on vinyl:

This just made me want to see if the Hollow Knight soundtrack was ever pressed to vinyl and it has!

I almost pulled the trigger on the regular OST - Hollow Knight Vinyl Soundtrack

But I kind of don't care about the boss fight music that much and it is a picture disc...

There also is an official piano version of the soundtrack as well which is right up my alley. Absolutely painful paying $60 for a record but I LOVE this soundtrack and the piano covers are beautiful.

I've heard a lot of good things about this game from my Co-workers.

Available on Xbox, PC and Steam. Looks like Steam supports Mac OS with this game.

If I were to pick it up could I use my PS5 controller with my Mac?

It's on my to play list as well. I watched Hutts play a bit of it, and it looks fantastic. From what I could tell it's an unashamed love letter to the top down Zelda titles and is chock full of secrets and things to discover. One cool aspect I saw is you get an in game manual that resembles the physical ones that were in games like this in the 90's, but it's in an unknown language. As you play through you unlock new pages and translations.
