not sure about the whole Prime trilogy, but it's been a not so secret rumor that there's a Prime remake that's coming soon.. possibly announced in the September Direct (also rumored), with a smaller tease for Prime 4.

the last part is pure speculation but the remake seems to be less of an if and more of a when.

I also heard a rumor that Retro being pulled into Prime 4 meant that they didn't have the resources to remake the whole trilogy. again not sure if this is at all true, but would make sense.
 
Finished The Last of Us Part I remake. (The main story at least), There are some extra stories (missing chapters) that can be played outside of the main story.

I'm going to assume there is no remake / remaster of Part II coming out anytime soon, so I should go ahead and pick that up now to continue the story.

really excited for this tbh. i think it’s interesting that back in February, all we really knew that was definite from nintendo were Splatoon 3, bayonetta 3 and mario and rabbids sequel. everything that was announced in the february direct (xenoblade, FE warriors, mario strikers, nintendo switch sports, etc.) has already come out, so now we’re back to square one to how things were in February. bc even Zelda stuff is unclear yet, it’s a big question mark as to what will be shown in regards to botw2/zelda.
 
Excited for this direct as my Switch has been gathering dust since Metroid Dread came out. Though I do plan on getting Splatoon 3 and Bayonetta 3 (which I forgot was even coming out in a month, where is their ad push for this??)

Metroid Prime is probably my favorite game of all time, so if the Trilogy came to Switch, I'd be pretty stoked even though O already have it on Wii U. More people should revisit! They hold up!

Hearing some rumors about a possible Zelda Twilight Princess remake as well. That could be cool.

I don't think it's supposed to be a "remake", the prevailing rumor is some sort of pack of Wind Waker HD/Twilight Princess HD bundled together, but they could release separately... but would just be the standard HD versions, similar to Mario 3D All Stars... but we'll find out for sure in about 2 hours

Having never played either title, I’d be quite pleased with such a bundle.

Holy fuck I’d be all over that. I never beat Wind Waker because I was at the age when I didn’t really care about beating games and just played a little bit. But I loved the artwork and music. Twilight Princess was the first Zelda game I completed and I remember feeling so satisfied when I beat it, especially on Wii which was a pita with the controls
