Everything Video Games!

Only took three tries! This was the point at which I left off on my original playthrough. Was not faring well against Bloody Crow nor was I very pleased with Yahar'gul. Saving Bloody Crow for later and uncovering the shortcut to The One Reborn saved me a lot of strife this playthrough.

Made it past Lady Maria last night, so I'm onto the fishing hamlet!
I'm impressed, that fight took me more tries than most of the major bosses, save Ebrietas and Orphan of Kos.

The universe has conspired to keep me from playing video games today. It's the only day of my summer "break" that I had set aside to game. Xfinity went out this morning, was fixed by 1, only for Xbox live to go down. Decided to play a game on my phone, down for maintenance till tonight, lol.

Orphan of Kos is pissing me off. I just realized I missed the optional Laurence fight, so I'll probably go take care of him. Once I only have Orphan and the final Big Bad left I'll be as far as my partner got on their play through.

Laurence actually got me on tilt. Wasn't expecting him to be somewhat tough. Hits like a dump truck full of bricks, and some of his attacks are very hard to see/dodge. Funny enough, I didn't get mad with Orphan of Kos or Malenia in ER. Something about knowing that they are very difficult fights set my expectations accordingly, so lots of deaths was more expected. It's those ones that can be unexpectedly tough that you DON'T hear about as often that set me off, i.e. Laurence or Malekith in ER. Got mad fighting both of them, but eventually overcame.

Ya'll, punch build in Elden Ring is a lot of fun. It's like a bonk build, but fast. At the same time, it shows how bad some of the hit boxes are. For example, fighting a Magma Wyrm yesterday. Ran up and did a jumping heavy attack. Watched my fists clip and drag through his ENTIRE leg, and yet somehow I missed. Also further on in Mt. Gelmir, fighting that giant monkey mage queen at the end of the Hermit's village, and I could not hit locked on because of how she squats. Then again, I finished off Radhan with a good 'ol one-two directly in the groin, so you take the good with the bad.🤷‍♂️

I was surprised too—thought I was ready for anything until he just obliterated me out of nowhere. It’s wild how some bosses sneak up on you like that! I felt the same way with Malekith; it was like he had a personal vendetta against me. It’s interesting how the unexpected challenges can be more frustrating than the notorious tough ones. I’ve been diving into some mobile games lately that actually offer real cash rewards. There are some legit apps that pay instantly to cash app, which is a nice bonus while I’m trying to grind through these tough bosses. Just thought I’d share since it’s a fun way to unwind between epic battles!
