Everything Video Games!

Really enjoying my play though of The Witcher 3 on the PS5. Though, I'm getting a lot of crashes, even one that corrupted the most recent auto save so I couldn't continue my game without loading my last manual save losing hours of progress =\

Anyone else play this game on the PS5? Was it buggy?

I some how missed the announcement last year. Is it a main line Pokemon game, or something that's not like Detective Pikachu or Legends Arceus ?

It's a Legends title like Arceus, but most people seem to be treating it as functionally the next mainline game. Uncharacteristically for Game Freak, they actually pushed it by 6 months or so to polish, so maybe they're taking all the negative feedback re: Scarlet and Violet to heart.

Yes and they're better off hurrying up with how much gets leaked every day.

Latest I've heard was
1/17 reveal, 3/1 release, Mario Kart 9 and RDR2 release titles
. Could all be bologna of course, but it's the same guy that leaked Alarmo and the PS5 Pro.
 
Has anyone played Dragon Age: The Veilguard? Thinking about picking it up with some Best Buy credit before it expires (sale price + credit = very affordable).

I'd be a Dragon Age newbie.

My wife's a longtime fan of the series and has been really enjoying Veilguard. She recently started her second playthrough, so must be pretty good. I'll personally get to it eventually, I was late to the party on every other title in the series but have enjoyed them all.

Word on the street is the reveal will be Thursday, January 16 and the console launch will be in May or June.

Didn't have an issue with it. But perhaps check your fans and filters. It will crash a lot if it gets full of dust.

Looks clean to me.

Seems more stable after a reboot, though still getting an occasional crash. Wonder if a recent PS5 OS upgrade is responsible. I remember the same thing happened with FFXVI and they had to issue a patch to resolve it.

Speaking of The Witcher. How do you run? I have failed a few quests now because I can't keep up / lose the subject because I can't run. Not a single button combination I try works.

Haha uh, I can't remember... Been quite a while since I played it. Click down on one of the sticks? I think you can change it in the settings.

Nope, that's not it. First thing I tried.

Is it possible it's not set and I need to assign something to it in settings. Got to look into that.
 
I'm not saying I don't like Astro Bot, but I'm surprised (so far) at all the praise it got as it just feels like more of the same from Astro's Playroom. Maybe it'll click the more I play, and again it's not abad thing--I liked Playroom--but I maybe was expecting something a little less iterative
 
So, according to the settings L3 should be run/sprint. It works when I'm playing as Ciri when I tried it last night, but nothing happens when I'm playing as Geralt. Checking unlearned skills, I don't see anything that would be required for running. I'm confused. I'm up to level 22 now and a good way into the game.
