Did they announce anything interesting in today's Nintendo Direct? Is it worth my time to catch up and watch what they announced tonight?
nope, nothing noteworthy (at least imo). my headcanon was that nintendo chose to do this direct just to show people that switch 1 will still get games for the foreseeable future, but anything major or AAA will be shown off on the switch 2 direct next week most likelyDid they announce anything interesting in today's Nintendo Direct? aside from the beautiful Metroid Prime 4 segment (sans actual release date), I think the new Rhythm Heaven announcement was exciting... until they showed a release date of 2026Did they announce anything interesting in today's Nintendo Direct? The fact that Metroid Prime 4 was one of the original games announced for the console and we still don’t have an actual release date for it, the same year the sequel console is coming out.m, is pretty ridiculous. I understand game development takes time and this one in particular had major setbacks but this is why I’m sick of the trend of showing a logo and nothing else to announce a game that doesn’t actually exist yet (more examples including the new Elder Scrolls and the new Fable)
Update: KCD2 kind of sucks. World seems interesting and cool. Environment, nature effects are great. Story is fine. But the mechanics for combat, healing, saving, pretty much everything else is awful. The game is too focused on realism instead of being fun. Some things are just plain stupid. I bought a physical copy so I’m begrudgingly making my way through it. Maybe it’ll get better, maybe not. But right now it’s not fun.Played Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 for about an hour and half yesterday. It’s pretty good so far. I’m going into this completely blind. Story is fairly engrossing which forces you to pay attention. Combat seems trickier than I expected but it’s still early and I’m in the git gud stage of the game. My one gripe is the two main characters look far too similar. Hairstyles and face styles. You can tell them apart but they could have given one a mustache or one longer hair. Just seems historically incorrect that they would both have very clean hairstyles for the time period. Other than that it seems fun so far!
I've heard very positive things about the game, but also checking out a couple of reviews completely scared me off the game for all the reasons you mentioned...I just have no interest in micro-managing my character in just about any game.Update: KCD2 kind of sucks. I also don’t think I’m in the minority with this opinion. It seems A LOT of other people feel the same way.
I have never thought of RDR2 as having a lot of character maintenance. There’s some but it’s nowhere even close to what it’s like in KCD2. RDR2 is one of my favorite games of all time and one that I think everyone needs to play. KCD2 on the other hand…. Huge letdown.I've heard very positive things about the game, but also checking out a couple of reviews completely scared me off the game for all the reasons you mentioned...I just have no interest in micro-managing my character in just about any game.
I've often come close to buying and checking out RDR2, but I've heard from enough people that the maintenance that is required if your character is off-putting and I'm sure it's not even close to something like KCD2
afaik this has basically always been the pitch for these gamesUpdate: KCD2 kind of sucks. World seems interesting and cool. Environment, nature effects are great. Story is fine.
