Day 15 - Annoy Squidward Day - Play something that would annoy your best friend/spouse.
My wife is my best friend, but she enjoys some alone time when The Captain comes to call.
His deconstruction of the blues was lost on purists of that genre, his multi-music amalgam of free form jazz was above the head of most rock fans and the jazzheads wrote him off as a rock music weirdo. And you know what - they all missed out.
Love this footage. Watch this and tell me Jack Black isn't the perfect fit for a Don Van Vliet biopic...

My SO picked some Beatles this morning while she was getting ready for work. We had a fun day yesterday, we went bowling and then got Thai food for dinner which is kind of our Valentines Day tradition.

My SO was a music major (classically trained clarinetist) in college and we first bonded over our love of music as such she is very open-minded when it comes to music of all genres. That being said Thrash Metal is not her jam. I did wait until she left for work to spin this. Though if I had she likely wouldn’t have said anything, she’s a champ like that and very tolerant of most my bullshit.

Besides the obvious, when I took the kids to see this in the theater when it first came out I distinctly remember Mrs. ImTheOcean gladly bowing out. Spongebob is not her jam. And hearing the kids sing the Goofy Goober Song for weeks / years after definitely tried her patience.

And since I don't have Disney movie soundtracks or Broadway shows like the Hamilton soundtrack, my options are really slim.
I'm good to some extent to "classic rock" in the car...but nothing too loud or fast. The only release I can think of that we both like and own is this - she had the soundtrack on CD - and then I picked up this pressing when it released.
