I got the Getz/Gilberto yesterday but haven't been able to spin it yet. The jacket is really well-done and the the whole package feels really solid. I only have this album in the orange press from a couple years back, so I'm looking forward to enjoying this one with higher SQ.

Well I haven't been able to spin it yet but I'm super impressed with the new Elliott Smith debut album 2LP remaster package. This thing comes with, or basically IS, a 52 page hardcover book with page after glossy page of personal photos and stories from his friends and family. You can tell a lot of thought went into it and it's probably one of the best quality "box set books" I've come across. Now... hopefully the vinyl actually sounds good unlike pretty much every single Elliott Smith repress that currently exists.

Please let us know. I gave this one a hard pass but the book does look nice. If the sound quality is there, I might be nudged toward a purchase.

Okay so the mastering is really good for a comp album. But the pressing can be a bit poppy. It's worth it for sure since it's pretty cheap. But I wouldn't expect a super clean pressing. But mine just has pops, no crackle or fuzz. And it's tolerable. It's a fantastic album.
