family got me this. Why are they encouraging my boozing and record playing/buying? Lol.

not pictured is a vintage cocktail glass set and chrome shaker.

As someone interested in both booze and vinyl, this seems up my alley. Have you read and/or drank any submissions, yet? Wondering how well done this is. I one of the weirdos that actually made as many of the Vinyl Me Please recipes as I could (for better and worse) while I was subscribed.

45s & a book

Mostly soul 45s from a mixture of eBay, discogs, and local. The Ethics is probably my favorite of the bunch with a great northern soul dancer with some nice sweet soul on the flip.

Couldn't resist picking up this reprint even though I think it's too expensive. Was huge into Houston rap at one point in the 2000s. UGK's Ridin' Dirty is one of my favorite albums ever, and it just bloomed from there. I had the first edition of this book in my cart for so long so many years ago, and never pulled the trigger. Then all of a sudden, it went out of print, and I've been staring at copies for $150+ ever since. Psyched for this reprint, but it's 2x the cost of what I remember the original being.

Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou x 2
African Brothers Band x 2

I keep on thinking I must be running out of Poly-Rythmo releases to get but there always seem to be more. Well, I sort of have these two already. The colour one I have the album but it's possibly my favourite (being reissued next month by Superfly Records with a different cover) and I didn't have the cover so that's a big bonus. And the black and white one I think I have all the songs as singles but not this album. And it's almost the same with the African Brothers Band - they have so many different releases it's difficult to keep up. I've got 29 albums by them (and 213 records by Poly-Rythmo!) Another great haul from Superfly.

It's been a few weeks of only Kevin Gray purchases for me...KG continues to be my favorite engineer. Most of what he touches sounds incredible.

The Doors - Strange Days is the 1992 DCC pressing. Sounds awesome.

Pink Floyd is the 30th anniversary KG AAA cut

Prine is the reissues that came out in the fall.

Van Mo is the KG cut pressed at RTI. Don't think it's AAA but it sounds great.

Talking Heads is the 2009 KG @ ATM cut.
