My raspberry pi / hifiberry has been playing silly buggers, and I was in Nottingham where I ‘happened’ to walk past the hifi shop… so far so good. Easy to set-up, sounds good and means the pi can be repurposed for some emulation work.

A couple stragglers came in today. But damn if I wasn't getting the side eye of frustration from the wife with all the records that have been showng up It didn't help that they came at three different times one USPS, one Amazon, and one UPS. Somehow the number of deliveries make it seem worse than the number of records, lol.

Some delicious stoner and space rock that I ordered used on Bullmoose but showed up new just with seam splits.

Some classic hip-hop from the Amazon accideal. (Shipping notice this morning and arrived this afternoon!)

And an epic performance in the Mojave desert that took Target a while to ship.

Extraordinary haul as usual! My Herbie Nichols is in the post, what did they print on the back cover btw if you might have the time sir ?

Only just seen this. Essentially they used Vol.1 for the front (blue) and Vol.2 for the back (orange), with a full-sized photo and liner notes in the gatefold. Really nice package although I haven't listened to it yet.

In what I'm fairly certain was an employee pricing error and I really hope no one gets in trouble for it, I've snagged two box sets for way less than even a bargain would be at 2nd and Charles. First was a few days ago when I popped in and saw they had marked several of their often ignored box sets for 50% off, mostly a bunch of a live Bowie sets and a McCartney set. But they had the Clapton Studio Album Collection 70-81 marked at $49. I'd been wanting the Derek and the Dominos album and figured $20 more for the other 7 LPs was worth it, even with it being Clapton. Then today I decided to look again and the Black Sabbath - Sabotage Super Deluxe set was marked for $20. It's a gorgeous box that actually makes me regret not grabbing some of the other ones when they came out!

Man...I know way too much about those Garth Brooks sets....for someone who really isn't a fan.

Just to add more to this...Amazon doesn't seem to know that they sent me the box. I keep getting "it's running late" emails about it. So...either I'll still not get charged the 18 bucks or they'll send out another.

I think I'll just see how this plays out.
