Fresh Grabs

Just to add more to this...Amazon doesn't seem to know that they sent me the box. I keep getting "it's running late" emails about it. So...either I'll still not get charged the 18 bucks or they'll send out another.

I think I'll just see how this plays out.

And canceled...got the set for free.

If it was a mom & pop I would have said something...but fuck Bezos.

Any through Man In The Moon are good...I don't really know the ones after that when they reformed.

I'd start at the beginning.

As for those reissues, I think I'm good. I really don't need doubles, triples, or in some cases quadruples.

Plus I saw they were released by Cleopatra, and I've not really cared for the product they release.

I'm good with the 3 copies I have.

Yup, not going to argue that logic at all even though this was done under there sub label Purple Pyramid which i've read some solid things about and some awful as well so we'll see where this one falls. I didn't realize you already had 3 copies haha.. I'd be very surprised if all those OG's don't beat out the reissues anyways.

Thanks though, that's a pretty long run of good albums then! i'll have to start sneaking some of them into my playlists and seeing what I like most.

A nice little excursion to my local to browse with @jamieanderson1968 while the 4-year-old was at preschool this morning coughed up some classic Canadiana in the bargain bins and, even more exciting, a signed copy of Nnamdi Ogbonnaya's 500 copy orange creamsicle run of Drool!

I actually already have the Dumptrucks album, so this copy is going to be gifted to a friend.

A few more arrived from the Target sale. Barn arrived in a completely demolished and bent to hell box. I thought for sure the record would be broken, but even though the sleeve is in terrible shape, the record looks only a little warped. Target's out of copies but they're refunding it and told me to recycle the record. Then had some missing box sets (Grateful Dead and Bongripper) that they replaced. The originals were marked as delivered but didn't show up till a week later. No idea how the postal worker pulled that trick, but Target told me to keep the extras. Not bad for customer service. Then I had a couple I ordered from Movie Mars direct from their website. It's super sketchy and they don't email you a receipt or any confirmation of an order or shipping, but it did show up... The Neptune Power Federation was from Deep Discount, who overcharged me and who just spams the same response from CS every time I've emailed about it. I f*cking hate their CS, some of the worst in the biz. Last was The Decemberist's pre-order and an eBay purchase for the Chief's which ended up being from the record label and they sent a code for their new album on Bandcamp which was really cool.

Another great mail day!

My first two Live at Levitation albums. The Black Angels from Santa @bfly!
And King Gizzard which was the fastest announcement to ship date I've seen in a while.
Then after sitting in post office limbo for weeks, @imajindat's Workingman's Dead PIF finally arrived!
And the first Sigur Ros colored vinyl I was able to snag, figures it's one of my least favorites of theirs though, lol.

Retail therapy stop at a local today

The Killers - Battleborn
Steely Dan- Can’t Buy a Thrill
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Howl

The killers album is one that’s grown on me over the years and I found a somewhat beat up used copy on red vinyl so I took a chance

The Dan is an original German probe copy that one dude on Discogs says doesn’t sound very good but sounds pretty great to my ears

Was inspired by a recent BRMC thread to pick up Howl, hadn’t heard it in a while

No pics atm, but cancelled my VMP membership after my last shipment. Last week was a good one, ended up getting my last VMP haul and turned the money I would've spent into some local shop grabs.

From VMP
Roberta Flack - Quiet Fire
Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix
Meters - Rejuvenation

From the locals
The Beatles - Let it Be
The Roots - Things Fall Apart (finally found it under $80)
Sun Ra - Omniverse
Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine
Nine Inch Nails - With Teeth
DMX - The Legacy
Bush - Razorblade Suitcase
