A guy I became good friends with who used to DJ for the college radio station in Boulder turned me on to this band back in the day. Hadn't listened to them in a grip, but saw them on the SOV sale for real cheap and after streaming them again and realizing that they still kick ass I picked them up.
A combination of some random gift cards and way too much free time lately had me patching a few holes on mostly stuff that's been on the Wishlist for awhile.
I have been going back and forth on all the versions of this damn Wildflowers release since the first day of pre-orders but since I got the alternate takes earlier this year I figured I might as well go with the 7lp version which I finally was able to grab for a nice price!
This is my first vinyl copy of anything from King Gizzard (Have listened to a fair amount digitally though!) since I never know where to start and there's always so many variants I just say f#*K it but this was so beautifully done with the added instrumentals and lenticular cover they finally got me to cave.
The Diana Ross is the newer 2019 "Motown In Mono" release that was done by Kevin Gray that I meant to grab last year but just kind of got lost in the shuffle. I have heard some great things about it though!
eels are a band I admittingly slept on somehow for way too long and it didn't help that a few years ago I listened to The Deconstruction and was not really feeling that much at all.. Well, I finally gave Beautiful Freak a true full listen and it blew me away enough to instantly buy it afterwards.. I look forward to getting to know this one much better now!
The Vines album is a massive nostalgia buy that I have really liked since the first day I bought it at Best Buy on cd at release and it has aged pretty damn well imo!
I was skeptical of Ska Dream honestly but that was my mistake doubting Mr. Jeff Rosenstock as he slaughters it once again as usual.
Bad Brains needs no introduction... Kind of bummed it was labeled as a splatter version on SoV but ended up just being standard black.. For only $14 I can't complain too much though!
This looked like a nice quality release of Mama Tried so figured it's always nice to have a little more Merle on the shelf.
Not going to lie outside of seeing some of there stuff randomly over the years I had very little knowledge of Nektar's music but I happened to smoke a couple weeks ago and ran into this album which sounded quiiiite nice and since the reissues were very well priced I figured i'd start with this one. I'm looking forward to listening through some of there other albums now as well.
The Van Morrison is one i've almost bought probably 20 times since I both love the album and it's cut by Kevin Gray so finally did the inevitable and got a copy!
that nektar splatter looks amazing and that's my favorite king gizzard album (also my first KG album....bought the orange variant on a whim for like 10 bucks or something ridic like that). nice grabs!

Can you ever really have enough Beatles in your collection? Came across these dirt cheap, so place holder-ish until I find vinyl pressings.
Anthology 1-3
Yes sir, they did a pretty big reissue campaign this year with probably 5-10 variants and an alternate cover version. I grabbed it at SoundOfVinyl for $14 with free 2 day shipping so not too bad at all if you're fine with the standard black as it's not the splatter version its listed as in the link.
Do it! if it sounds nearly as good as it looks i'll def. be grabbing more of the reissues I think as well.
I had listened to a later Nektar album awhile back and just thought it was pretty mediocre but obviously Recycled was another entire level. What other albums of there's would you recommend to check out next?
