I will find out. When he first got it, he mentioned it was a £1000 record.

That's perhaps on the high side from copies I have seen sold in the past (unless it's in top shape) BUT the way the market has been lately it wouldn't surprise me if he sold it for that. People are spending crazy money on British jazz nowadays and I guess it has the added appeal of Ornette Coleman's side-men being on it as well. He's certainly done well sourcing it.

Lol let me tell you how the ones from the label/artist store were shipped. You were fortunate with something that looked like an LP shipper

A little ring wear is def. a big win for me from Walmart or Amazon these days but I will say I have pretty good success on the few pre-orders I got from them. My mailman hasn't bent any records in half for a little while to fit them in my mailbox either so thats another plus!

I didn’t even know The Heads reissued Relaxing With… , I had given up on finding a reasonable copy. This one includes a second album of bonus songs and is limited to 1,000.

And one of my favourite semi-local's added a blowout section to their website the morning after a very heinous day so I bought records instead of eating my feelings or breaking stuff...


The Ronnie Boykins wasn't part of their blowout section, I'd just been waiting for a purchase to take me over the $150 threshold for free shipping.

Something went wrong with my initial shipment and it wound up returned to sender, but that worked in my favour because I'd bought 700 Bliss after the rest of these shipped and chose to keep it at the store until I'd ordered enough other stuff to cross the free shipping threshold again. Instead of having to wait a couple of months for it, they offered to throw it in when they re-shipped the rest of this!

New Haunted House Party came in along with the 7"!






Here's something i've never heard of happening before.. If someone can give me a valid reason how this happened i'd appreciate it because I don't get it?

Sooooo... I bought 3 of the above albums from DeepDiscount on Walmart and the Deviants came in a single lp mailer buttttt when I opened it up the below picture is what I saw .. A fully addressed, unopened and paid for packaged record sitting on top of the Deviants.. I honestly thought it was DeepDiscount giving me a returned copy of an album I bought or something. Nope! It was "Big" Tiny Little – Tiny Little's Forties along with an ebay receipt asking me to please leave positive feedback I found the auction which ended about a week ago and messaged the seller to let them know and see if they have any idea how it happened because I have no idea how a random lp from a small ebay seller wound up inside my package?

I've had two orders since then that arrived that were clearly opened and retaped, including a box set that was also opened. I was pissed about that one, but everything was still in it and it looked ok. Point is I think they are actually opening more media mail boxes to check the contents and fucking things up as they do.

It was only when I opened an investigation that it magically showed up two days later, opened and re-taped, with a note about inspection. dude was sending from CO to FL and there was a big thing in the news at the time about legal weed, so I just wrote it off to that, but roughly since then I have noticed a big slowdown in deliveries and how tracking is reported.

The lp mailer was one of those with the skinny tab you have to pull down to break the seal and that was still in tact so I don't think they could have re-sealed it without it being obvious but now i'm second guessing if I just didn't notice something off before opening it . That has to be it though I would think because nothing else makes any kind of sense.. Post Office and fucking things up go together flawlessly so i'm not too surprised.

I explained the whole thing in more detail then above and she just replied this morning..

Did you receive the correct record you bought from me? I wrapped it in bubble wrap and brown paper with the invoice inside.

She not only doesn't know how to ship a record but clearly can't read very well either. I have no idea how that could be a legitimate reply after reading what I said lmao

My first vinyl storage solution order, hand forced by Coletrane Tone Poet:






Works great on that and those nice impulse gates. I will be ordering from gas in the future.

In addition to the big gatefold sleeves, I ordered some 7” rice paper inners and outers.

I may stick with the Colemine inners cause they are cheap and give me an excuse to order a record for free shipping. But I like these and will probably use them for the rest of my sleeve needs moving forward.

I had a similar situation years ago. I bought a copy of the MOFI Beck - Sea Change (played once) on eBay for £60. Yodel claimed to have delivered it and we had a back and forth for months - they claimed it was hand-delivered to a 'middle-aged white man' (the most generic description they could think of) and were adamant on it until I offered to show them the CCTV from that day. At that point, they decided they couldn't talk to me about it as I was the recipient and not the sender, so I sent the sender the CCTV footage and had him deal with it. In the end, we both had to call it a day and I was refunded the full amount.

My stomach turns when I look at the price of it now. Around £260 with the cheapest listed being over £300
