Fresh Grabs

Had to take a quick trip up to Tacoma to deliver some flowers, figured I should stop in Hi Voltage for a visit 😁. Didn't know the Jayhawks had been reissued, that's my favorite of theirs. And that Brad showed up today too, been wanting that for years!

It was a long, stressful journey but i finally got my Mach-Hommy Triz Saga Investor box.

This is the replacement as the first one, which was delivered in late May, was damaged by UPS during transit. Then there was a lot (too many) of calls to UPS and confusion on their part and emails to the seller and delays until finally last week, a shipping confirmation!

I had to call them about 10 times over a 6-week period. Some of them were nice but i also got some who had no idea what they were doing, including an old lady who need 5 attempts to get the tracking number right. I paid import tax for the first package which i was told would get refunded once the sellers claim was complete. It's been just over 2 months since that claim was filed and nothing so far but i had to pay import again for the replacement.

Agreed. I think the handling fee is the same for UPS here as it is for Fedex, DHL and PostNord. And by same, i mean way too high.

FedEx seems to be lower here. DHL always seem to had off to An Post who are the lowest around. PostNord aren’t here.

Same over here. DHL hands most packages over to PostNord (local postal service) but the fees are the same. There was a time when the fee was 130% lower than it is now. I would be cool with that number now lol
 
A couple of thrift store finds for $1 each.

First is an OG Motown mono pressing of the Supremes. Jacket and Side 1 are in nice shape; there’s a faint mark on Side 2 that may or not affect play. I’ll have to check that out.

The surprising find was this next one, which is sealed. Never heard of the band and was shocked when I looked on Discogs and saw the lowest asking price. :oops: Say what?!
