Yeah, I was like why does this look so good and didn’t even realize it was the VMP until I took the slab out to inspect it. (While the shop owner was telling a noob about being able to look at the slabs.)

CD grabs:
I had always hoped Fernandes’ debut would come out on vinyl. I was totally unaware he had a sophomore album available. GNR is a hole in the cd collection and I figured it might as well be filled. Next cd grab is similar, although that one is a little more essential and the vinyl is oop.
+17 (figured other formats should count, especially since I am adding the CDs to cogs.)

I thought I responded to this but must not have pressed reply!
Enjoy, its a great collection of records and I'm surprised it wasn't more popular. Some of the albums are more of what I would assume is straight ahead gospel, but plenty have a more funk driven approach. Great fun!

Unexpected Last Night From Glasgow delivery. Great to finally get the Shellac and Blur albums, as well as some LNFG goodness. I think I'm cursed to never get De La Soul is Dead - I thought I had ordered it, but I managed to order a duplicate copy of TFHAR!

If someone tries to tell you that everything is available on streaming, they are WRONG!! A few cd grabs that cannot be found on streaming.

Change of Heart -Soapbox (great forgotten 80s indie rock from Montreal)
Macro Dub Infection volume 2 (still hunting for Vol 1, electronic dub comp from the 90s)
Sally Timms (from the Mekons) - To The Land of Milk and Honey (great Americana from Leeds)
The Pooh Sticks - Great White Wonder (great power pop from Swansea)

So it’s almost the end of January and in 2025 I’ve only bought a single record!
I’m trying to take a different approach this year, focusing for the 2-3 weeks of the month to narrow it down and then to purchase my “record of the month”.
Figure I needed to reduce the number of pre-order/FOMO purchases and just spend time with my collection. Also previously prioritising pre-orders and limited editions, I’ve actually skipped buying a lot of my favourite albums.
Let’s see how it goes! I’ve manages January so far:
