The 8LP Velvet Underground Complete Matrix Tapes box set made it from France.

In lieu of flowers the Uncle D family asks that donations be made to the Safe Passage Record Protection Foundation..

The family also requests privacy during this difficult time.

Somehow this heavy box set came out of that trainwreck pretty unscathed.

For those of you that also have it:
1) what kind of outer sleeve do you plan to use? I have none that fit

2) is anyone else's copy like mine where the disc "sleeves" on the front /back of the book kind of stick out past the book? A bit annoying I think, not sure if it's a defect or all are like this.

None will fit, it even ripped an oversize sleeve city large double sleeve.

I found that my sleeve city inners fit much better than the paper ones, it again they still stick out a little!

Yes. Strange packaging. I used a Sleeve City Outer that they sell for Box sets (fits loose) and then put the vinyl in MoFi inners and stored them in a heavy weight standard size outer sleeve. Then dropped that into the oversized box sleeve holding the book.

All of which begs the question, “Why didn’t this come designed in a nice display box sized to hold it all neatly and fit in an Ikea rack?”

I had to turn the book sideways and placed it inside a heavy duty sleeve, vinyl is inside book in mofis and it’s own sleeve

Regarding the sleeve thing sticking out I was referring to this - I think my book isn't bound correctly or is this the case for everyone?




I would store the records outside the book anyway just like AMSP.
