Immerse Your Soul In Love - The Radiohead Thread

Meanwhile, XL sent me replacements for all 3 discs of a the red version(they were all horribly defective as well) and they are about to send me a second set of replacements, and I didn’t even buy the set from them!

How’s that for a customer service contrast.
Replacing discs while a war is going on??? Obviously XL isn't humble enough.

It is particularly annoying to receive a 2022 wall calendar in March of 2022 when you preordered it in November of 2021.
Apparently, someone from WASTE or Sandbag saw this post and wanted to make a liar out of me because my 2022 calendar arrived today, while it’s technically still only February 2022. But the jokes on them because I’m still just as cranky about it haha.

What they referred to a post on this forum? Fucking weird!

No, sorry, I was just joking. It just seemed like too good of a coincidence to have it arrive on the last day of February when I’d already complained on here about it not arriving until March.

I am possibly under some kind of influence and decided to listen to this. Do not listen if you want Radiohead to have any kind of cool mystique left in your eyes.

Then you shouldn’t get these releases :)

Fun lil nugget I found worth sharing…

Was listening to my On A Friday demo bootleg and this song was on it …

Sounds a ton like this classic ….

I though it was an enjoyable early listen to hear the progression to what it turned into

Also this early version was on the same boot

This is one of my favorite songs of theirs too so it was very much a delight

My last response and I’m done with them.

Hi

I realise I don’t have many options beyond appealing to your moral compass and better angels but here goes nothing.

Your attitude to this whole debacle has just left such a sour taste in the mouth. I will likely keep the record just because I wanted a copy of it but I’m so disappointed that every time I listen to a song that is one of the bands crowing glories I will have to put up with distortion on the strings a vocal.

In all honesty I did not contact you in the first place looking for money or refunds, I just wanted the product I had bought a high quality pressing to match the high level cost. You’ve made it painfully clear to me that you will not be taking steps to ensure this. The rigid line dictating that I either have to return for full return or just put up and shut up is merely rubbing salt into the wounds.

At this stage there are more important things in life that vinyl records and arguing with companies that just couldn’t care less about their customers but it would be nice if you could see you way to at least making a token gesture to a long term Radiohead mfan who has bought several of these special editions from you down the years.

Kind Regards

Joseph

Although I reserve my right to moan and make snide remarks about it on here!
I did see on discogs that people were getting full refunds without having to return the item...

They pointed to the T&C on the WASTE website which says in section 1:

LIABILITY :

  1. a) If the Customer establishes that any of the goods have not been delivered, or have been delivered damaged, or are not of the correct quantity, The Company shall at its option, replace them with similar goods, or allow the Customer credit for their invoice value.
    b) If the Customer establishes that any of the goods are defective The Company shall, at its option replace them with similar goods or allow the Customer credit for their invoice value.
    c) In no circumstances shall the liability of The Company to the Customer under this condition exceed the invoice value of the goods.

Thanks but me and them are through. Fuck em.
