They’ve been playing the music of 97 on bbc 6 music the last 2 days in celebration of this anniversary. It made me realise just how much exceptional music came out over here that year.

I've been listening to the radio a bit in the car lately and classic rock stations are playing Nirvana and Third Eye Blind which depresses me a bit haha. We listen to BBC 6 a bunch though. Gotta tune into it this weekend.

Yeah it’s my alarm clock station and I sometimes have it on in the car lol! Good advert free radio is probably the thing I miss most about the uk, Irish radio is trash.

It's a bit weird with the time difference here because if we put it on at dinner when we're cooking, it's the weird late night DJs (trance or meditative radio) since it's past midnight usually your time.

Yes I’m at least on the same time zone! Guy Garvey from Elbow really does a great show around Sunday dinner time which is probably mid to late morning over there!
 
You guys I really like The Smile album, like REALLY like and I'm gunna need this on vinyl but I know it's going to suck because how could it not it's XL and everything they do sucks except Anima which was somehow inexplicably good I don't know what to do I can't get on this merry Go round again I can't I can't I can't I WILL
What do I do, what are you going to do, I don't know what to do

There’s no special edition that’s from their store only so I bought the whatever colour the coloured one is from a shop and if it’s shit it will go back…

Welp, because I am weak stupid idiot I pre ordered the Smile indie exclusive. It's probably my favorite new album by any band in a very long time so felt like I kinda had to. But of course what this means is you're all fucked because now that I've ordered it, it's a near certainty that the pressing will be an absolute dogs breakfast.
