Awesome! Just got some myself, and going to pick up the record today. Been listening to it quite a bit, and looking forward to this one!

How is that venue in Portland? Was tempted to maybe travel for this show somewhere but I've been burned a couple of times during covid and think I'll stay local for now.

The Schnitz is one of the best sounding rooms in Portland. It's where the symphony plays. It's all seated, and for me as long as I'm not underneath the balcony I'm all good (I fall asleep every time under there ).

So just re-checked cogs and then checked my deadwax. It appears mine was cut at optimal. Everything identical other than the Optimal catalogue number instead of the GZ one in the deadwax and no “made in the Czech Republic” sticker on the shrink.

It's mainly just that it's GZ and I know the exact noise, it's the same noise that's on nearly everything I get from them. And I know my table is really succeptible to it so it's not worth the hassle to even try in this case.

Looks like the same regional pressing variances with EU releases getting optimal again. My yellow looks like an optimal pressing…

I just listened to my yellow copy more attentively today and it still sounds really nice. (Made it CR on shrink, runout matches Discogs). I don't listen with headphones but there may have been a couple pops every now and then but definitely nothing major.

Yeah exactly. The difference is it doesn’t have the GZ catalogue number before the XL one in the deadwax. Both have the optimal catalogue number because optimal mastered it.

I checked juno…they were out…jpc had them in stock and only cost total of 33$ to ship to me
