Right after I call the store and find out if they have any black copies.Sounds like it’s time to pour yourself a wee dram.

This sound profile is GZs calling card. I do not understand how they are allowed to continue to put out this quality of work. That new Justice VMP pressing is exactly the same, beginning of side crackle on all sides, combined with end of side noise...Alright…so I just cleaned mine and I’m giving my copy it’s first run.
Side A…def crackle on song 1…seems to fade over time…rest of the side is iteration darn good until the verrry very end of the side
Side b is next
I'm skeptical that the black and yellow are being pressed at two different plants. But if the black is actually Optimal then I will grab that one. Although to be honest I don't reflect it to be much different since most of the other dodgy RH stuff was pressed there.Side d was the best by far…no real big crackles throughout mine
Overall…could it be better? By a lot…the crackles are there but it doesn’t take away overall listening experience….to me
I’ll be waiting to hear your opinion …hoping it’s a great one…but then I’d be tempted to buy it tooI'm skeptical that the black and yellow are being pressed at two different plants. I just can't believe they'd be two different plants, but who knows these days...I’ll be waiting to hear your opinion …hoping it’s a great one…but then I’d be tempted to buy it too
Same.I’ll be waiting to hear your opinion …hoping it’s a great one…but then I’d be tempted to buy it too
Thats pretty common for radiohead records. Optimal in EU and US usually gets shit, URP, Rainbo, and now GZI just can't believe they'd be two different plants, but who knows these days...
Right but the yellow edition is worldwide no?Thats pretty common for radiohead records. Optimal in EU and US usually gets shit, URP, Rainbo, and now GZ
Probably so.Right but the yellow edition is worldwide no?

I REALLY hope the black copies are Optimal for both NA and EU. I do not relish this dumb RH variant chase...My yellow copy is waiting for me at the local. I’ll clean it and report back tonight.
It’s really not that bad man…but yes, hoping for good news on blackI REALLY hope the black copies are Optimal for both NA and EU. I do not relish this dumb RH variant chase...
It's mainly just that it's GZ and I know the exact noise, it's the same noise that's on nearly everything I get from them. And I know my table is really succeptible to it so it's not worth the hassle to even try in this case. It’s really not that bad man…but yes, hoping for good news on black
Awesome! Just got some myself, and going to pick up the record today. Been listening to it quite a bit, and looking forward to this one!I just scored a presale ticket to see the Smile at Bill Graham Civic in SF. Definitely not my favorite venue BUT walking distance from my house which is a bonus. And I'm glad I did the Another Planet presale today instead of WASTE yesterday - I was able to get a pretty good reserved seat in the balcony vs GA from WASTE. All in it was $123.50 but I'll gladly pay the extra to be away from you rowdy kids on the floor and be able to walk in right before showtime!
