Immerse Your Soul In Love - The Radiohead Thread

So I washed my yellow copy again. Played C/D again and it improved. Didnt notice any glaring surface noise this time. Still need to replay A/B.

I have never been able to get one iota of GZ crackle out due to cleaning. Whatever my needle is hitting, it ain't cleanable

@Crabbers I'll add that I dont buy a lot of used vinyl. In general I have been buying fewer records overall lately, but when I do, I focus on higher quality pressings...stuff out of QRP, RTI, Pallas.

I was very interested in that Humming Guru (or whatever it's called), but want to avoid the conversation with my family and dogs after I turn it on and they're all looking around confused like, "what the fuck is that high pitched noise?" Ha Ha. Actually, I've read some folks have been having issues with theirs, which has detered me a bit.

Yeah, issues like this can really suck the fun out of the hobby. I've (jokingly) contemplated just piling it all up in the backyard and lighting it on fire. Set myself freeeeeeeeee from the misery of vinyl records. Ha ha.

Then I get that MoFi Garcia/Grisman in the mail and I feel rejuvenated. "Yes, now I remember why I buy vinyl records. "

My equipment isnt as high quality as your setup, so your cart is probably more capable of translating both the good and the bad.

My cart is definitely capable of being a effing A-hole, that's for sure...

I have a dog and she doesn't give two shits about the HG (alas, I'm single so can't help with the family bit!)

I will say that the HumminGuru is probably the best investment I've made in my vinyl collection. I could never really get the Spin Clean just right, and the HG is so user friendly.
