Incoming! The New Equipment Thread

Eversolo DMP-A8 has been ordered. Got it off Audiogon for $1600. Seller has good reputation and the unit is only a couple of month old. I was just about to pull the trigger on a Naim Uniti Atom HE for $2k (about 4 years old) when I saw the DMP-A8.

I was looking for a preamp to use with some power amps I want to try and attempt to assemble. It’s only 💰

I have an A6 for streaming audio in my theater system. They have a really slick UI.

I’m still not in love with the 4309. They sound good when they match a recording well, but they can be super picky and harsh with poor mastering/recording. Will give them more time but considering grabbing the L82 (again) while they’re being phased out. Those and the (non meta) KEF R3 are the only speakers that seemed to be easy to love with for all genres. I’d have to risk the L82 being too bassy for my apartment but I imagine a bass trap would at least get some of the energy out of the room so I’m not just a buzzing living room. Speakers are such a fickle thing to get right!

I’ve also considered Lintons but I just know those would blow the walls off my living room with low end and I am not even gonna bother.

Something that may be interesting, while still being in the same price range. There is a demo pair of Studio Electric M5 for sale on USAM currently.

You could also consider the baby brothers to what I own- the Audio GE Cadenza. I still love my Teddy Classics.

Here is the info to bi-wire them - I think that was mentioned earlier.
