Very nice! You now have me thinking my desk could use a similar upgrade.
How is the bass? Do you think you'll need a sub or do you get enough bass response in the near field setup?

4 to 6 weeks wait for the Linn. The upgrade to the Classic spec got announced yesterday, so I can talk about it - knew about it 2 weeks ago, but didn’t want to leak it! I get a headphone socket and a sub out in this updated version, which wasn’t in the original. Essentials, really, surprised they weren’t there in the first place.
First slight frustration with the Kef’s - albums in my server are shown in alphabetical order rather than track number. Can’t face setting up playlists for each album, so I might have to search the internet for a fix.

Also, I’m planning on getting the Fiio portable CD player when it comes out - small footprint and optical out, so it suits what I need. Will work on the Linn as well!

What software are you using for your music? Or does KEF have some kind of proprietary software?

It has its own Kef Connect software. I have Plex Amp and it works fine, so I might just cast from that instead.

Yea I’d just use Plex then. I think those speakers are Roon ready too but might be overkill

Yeah I hear the KEF software is great for adding subs and setting crossovers but I’d imagine that using airplay/roon/plex is probably easier for using your own files.

The Linn has landed in Oz! Frustratingly, I probably won’t be able to get it installed until the start of November, due to both holidays at my and the dealers end. I’m actually kind of chill about that - I’d rather wait and get the dealer to do all the hard work.

Fixed the track order thing - just needed to switch on DLNA on my Plex Server instance, and it’s pushing through tracks in the right order in the KEF app. Bit of a result, as the Plexamp app wasn’t playing ball.

I don’t know if it will make much difference (if any) but I got an Sbooster LPS for my Feickert Blackbird. I wanted to share a pic because it is ginormous.

I was impressed with the s booster when I auditioned it with the project tube box.
Rogue had an even more impressive external power supply with the Ares.
I am a believer that external power supplies can be a nice game changer.
Power cords on the other hand is iffy
