It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

What do you think of the news of your bid for Wakins @Jonathan Y

whoever in the front office said that was ok to send over, today nonetheless, should be sent home immediately never to return.

Idk if this is their way of being like well we tried to get a big name striker.....
Apparently Watkins wants to join.....
Unfortunately they made the bid knowing Duran was likely going to Al Nassr so.....we get no one. They're gonna ride the Nwaneri goal from yesterday and say we dont need to replace Saka

Reports that Spurs brass is in Munich trying to get Tel over the line. I won't believe it until I see it, but that would be a great get.
It’s a huge overpay but that’s kind of the price nowadays for someone like that and for a club like Spurs. Just look at how much Yanited paid for Højlund and Liverpool for Nunñez.

I don't think it's an overpay at all if the rumored 60m fee is accurate. Tel is a VERY promising player with skills to contribute now. He'd be the heir apparent to the LW role if he's brought in permanently, and is almost certain to be in demand down the line by the biggest clubs. Even if this whole "youth experiment" fails, we can make bank selling Gray, Bergvall, Vuskovic, Tel, etc down the line.

All that being said, this smells too much like the Luis Diaz move. Feels like we're being used to get terms and then he can say "match it" to the clubs he wants to go to.
