Everyone wants Qatar obviously, but I think there's quality matchups to be had everywhere. Canada are no slouches in pot 4 compared to the US in Pot 2. Plus Denmark, Germany and Netherlands in Pot 2 are huge teams to face for anyone.

Correct, they cannot. Serbia had to be bumped down because they were originally drawn with France and Denmark and there can't be 3 European teams.

The best for that is when Ireland played Mexico in a heat wave in Florida in 94 and everyone, the bench included, lost their shit in the heat against a Mexican team well used to it who played a short passing game against a typical European super high pressing Irish team who weren’t used to the heat. The subs and coaching staff were going ballistic against the officials from the sidelines.

Both are technical though and keep the ball so it’s less relevant than with a high pressing game. Also that’s the type of style that’s likely to suit the weather in Qatar. It’s going to be tough to execute a high pressing style.
