It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

I never realized how vast the football circle is. So many leagues within the leagues and the games. They play A LOT of matches.

My African American studies teacher at community college went on a long rant about kids that wanted to play basketball. How they had such little chance to become a professional. I almost raised my hand to mention that everybody had a better chance of become g a soccer player because there were so many opportunities around the world.

To any of the Americans in the audience?

Have you discovered Football Manager yet?

That thing makes heroin seem mildly moreish…
I attempted to play it on Xbox a while ago for free but it wouldn’t even load. So I haven’t tried it yet. I don’t know if I have the patience for it, it’s like the career mode stuff in FIFA but much more in depth, right?

Oh god no! Career mode in fifa is like paddling in the kiddies pool with arm bands on…

This is like being dumped in the Atlantic and more. It’s not a console game though, it’s a PC/Laptop/iPad game and it requires time, lots of it…

I agree. I don’t have any ill will against them. It would be morbidly curious to see what happens if they go down, but like you said, proper club. I’d rather lose Burnley finally.

I get Burnley aren’t the prettiest of watches but another proper football club that represents its community and has a history. It’s a pity none of the southern teams are down there, could happily lose most of them…

I respect Burnley but absolutely despise watching them and playing against them.
