It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

How long can they keep this pace?
Haven’t played City, haven’t played Newcastle, have had favorable home fixtures, almost no significant injuries and are able to play the same XI every week. They are a good team, don’t get me wrong, but everything has gone their way so far. If they face some challenges let’s see how they manage to overcome them. If they get some scrappy come from behind wins, find a way to get a result with red cards, or still win with key players missing, then I’ll be convinced. City exist so it’ll always be a wait and see.

Liverpool won't be shit forever either and they still have to go to Anfield too. Also nothing can really be predicted this year because the stupid winter sportswashing World Cup has the potential to make the second half of the season as mad as a box of frogs.

In other news we've lost already, Villa will likely drop back but there aren't 3 goals in this team. FML hitting the new manager bounce.

Emery is a very good manager. Arsenal have it good now, but I feel like they were spoiled under him because they were getting good results with a worse squad than they have now.

He kinda is but I think he has a ceiling. He's a bit of a Rafa in that with a small to mid sized club he can organise them and punch above his weight but he's not a manager for a big team, he doesn't really set up to dominate the ball and proactively win games. I get why he was a very poor fit at Arsenal. That, and the fact that he spent a lot of money very badly, cost him there.

So I failed to halt Almiron's form lol

A goal for him and an assist for Wilson isn't bad for my team though!

Edit: Wilson didn't get the assist. Grumble grumble.

That’s been coming.

Seems weird that Spurs’ game plan seems to involve leaving Robertson and Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool’s two most creative players, free.
