It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

Think it is between Newcastle, Spurs (lol), and Aston Villa for that 4th spot. An unthinkable sentence a couple of years ago. Brighton have two games in hand so maybe, maybe they charge back into it.

Honestly we’re a long way from guaranteed third. We have a lot of games coming up, injuries and suspensions mounting and we just aren’t as ruthless as I’d like. We were excellent today, although Forest were also very poor, and somehow only managed 2 goals, should have been six or seven. In a tighter game could definitely lead to unnecessary dropped points.

Ourselves and the barcodes are definitely in the best position for it right now though.

yeah... I think Villa and Brighton have a better shot than Spurs do atm. Newcastle of course even better as things currently stand. Spurs have been so, so, so, so poor but we're somehow where we are. There's a tough couple games upcoming vs. Newcastle away and United at home. That'll be the season deciders. Two losses and it's over, finishing 7th~. However, I would not be shocked to see Spurs actually turn up for both those matches. Lose to Bournemouth at home for the first time ever, then somehow beat United and United. Classic Spurs. I don't think that will happen though.

City or Madrid is totally going to fuck up one of the Milan teams really badly!
oh yeah for sure. Napoli should have had a pen, and they're unlucky with the red card for Anguissa last week because Ndombele is terrible as a replacement. They've been cruising Serie A, but whoever makes it from that side of the bracket to the final will get found out.

Yeah it was a comically lopsided draw from the start. At least Napoli would have had a go even if the ultimate outcome is the same. Pretty revelatory too that Europe’s big surprise package is relying on two central midfielders that bad failed in the premier league.
