It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

They’re in dead last

And their owner has withdrawn all funding, leaving them in an impossible financial position, because he’s a thin skinned prick who can’t deal with a few fans criticising him.
Oh I know. I meant in the next few years. Ideally it would be next year but like Joe said, they've gotten screwed hard. No chance to bring big names in to help. Unless they have some small miracle soon they'll be relegated back to oblivion

United could use a couple of those models.

But seriously, human error has been a problem in all sports for too long.

I believe baseball is working on robots. Don’t let baseball lead the way.

I’m fully in favour of semi automatic offsides, goal line technology and I hope that can be extended to detect when all of the ball has crossed any of the end or side lines.

Where I think VAR has failed, and all technology will fail, is in game calls. They’re subjective and we’re seeing good decisions overturned because of referees being sent to the sideline to watch repeated out of context slow motion replays that distort the actual picture. I also think that VAR is completely to blame for no one having a clue what the handball law is anymore.

The boy is really raw and has a lot of rough edges but he’s very strong and very fast and there are signs. It’s poor that a club like united need to rely so strongly on a raw 22 year old at the sharp end.

Casemiro is going to be sent off but this is all Onana again.

Two fuck ups in two weeks cost us two games.

Ten Hags buys have been really poor and may well cost him his job in the longer term.

United have to ban all managers current and future from buying their old players who’ve only done it in weak leagues.

A penny for David de Gea’s thoughts.

Dumped unceremoniously for a “footballing” goalkeeper whose already cost us more goals than de Gea ever did and after costing us a goal with his supposed skill resorted to lumping it.

Fucking mess.
