It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

Spurs have been the better team on the ball when they string a few passes together but they leave so much space behind the full backs and United have exploited it a fair bit, Rashford has looked very dangerous all game.

Not to mention that FFP is a crock of shit. A cop out by the authorities to protect a cartel of big clubs from failing. Billionaire owners can't spend their own money on buying players and building a club. This isn't about preventing another Leeds, its about keeping 20-30 big clubs at the top.

I can see Messi winning the, whatever they call the league title (supporter's shield?) and/or winning the MLS Cup (playoffs, right?) next year and getting all the awards once again. There is a Copa America later this year too.....

What a tool. Another bloody accountant fucking up the game. Everton same league titles as city with only united Liverpool and Arsenal having more and Forest same number of European Cups as Chelsea with only United and Liverpool having more. Still tools like this think that a balance sheet is all that matters.

A lot of the afters from the United/Spurs game were on how woeful United were rather than how a pieced together squad went to Old Trafford and got a point. I'm not saying I think Spurs are going to win the league, nor am I even suggesting/implying it. BUT! To have weathered a pretty insane injury/suspension crisis for as long as we have, with the likes of Bissoumsa, Sarr, VDV, Romero, Maddison, Son, Davies, Lo Celso, Solomon and Kulusevski all likely coming back over the next 2-4 weeks is pretty crazy.

I think it's entirely possible that Spurs will finish 2nd or 3rd and hang with the front of the pack (just behind) IF they can stay healthy down the stretch.
