January 2023 Spinning Challenge: Welcome To 2023

Day 25: Wednesdays
You’ve got over the hump in the week. The only way is down to the weekend. Play something suitably lighthearted and carefree.

You're a burgeoning band rising out of the Athens, GA scene in the mid 80's and you need to release an impactful debut LP. Obviously, your only move is to unleash a record of retooled Simon & Garfunkel covers...

The Coolies - Dig..?

The Gloaming - 3

Sorry I know it’s my month but I’ve had a lot on this last 6 days. Hopefully will do a bit of catching up over the weekend.

I know this was my own pick but fuck it, it needs a bit more love on the forum.

Day 23: Monday Blues
Play an album to alleviate the Monday back to work blues.

Palace - Palace Brothers

I rarely have the Monday blues, I haven’t worked on a Monday for around 7 years now. Monday usually is the day I do my grocery shopping and other errands. The only other shoppers at the local supermarket mid mornings on a Monday are usually octogenarians meaning I can zip in and out without much of a wait. Saturday is overrated.

JD & The Evil's Dynamite Band Explodes Across the Nation! - This will get you over the hump and get you moving that hump around! How could you not enjoy songs like Beer, (So Nice) Right On and My Beach, My Waves, Fuck Off! I love this record!

Day 24: Computer Love
Play a great electronic record.

Filastine - Dirty Bomb

I love this album so damn much and it's a crime it's never been pressed. I'm in too much pain to go put on a record, so laying here streaming this is perfect. For anyone who's never heard this one, do yourself a favor.
