Yeah I like that first track

Anyone have the Mingus Ah Um one step yet? Looking to see if anyone can comment on how it sounds. I have close to NM mono and stereo six eye pressings and a Classic pressing as well. I passed on this initially.
The 3 & 4: New York Concerts | Jimmy Giuffre | Anagram | 2 x LP | RSD Exclusive | 1500 |
GRAZ 1961 | Jimmy Giuffre | ORG Music | 2 x LP | RSD Limited Run / Regional Focus | 1000 |
I am 100% relying on you, good people of the jazz thread, to tell me what RSD jazz releases I need to get this year. I am uncultured swine.
I've added a "RSD 2020 (US)" tab to the 2020 Jazz Reissues (N&G) spreadsheet.
Note: I went through the RSD list pretty quick, so let me know if I've missed anything.

I don't know if any of them are truly "needs", those days seem over for RSD. It looks like mostly live albums and outakes.
The only one I will search out is the JJ Johnson& Kai Winding - Stonebone album, because I really enjoy all those CTI albums.
The Bitches Brew outakes would be interesting, but I already have the Complete Bitches Brew CD Box Set.
Same for the Mingus Ah Um Redux as I already have the 2CD with all the bonus material. That one might be more intriguing if we knew the mastering, pressing, etc for it, as the first LP is the actual album.
Yeah I agree. I'll probably go for the Bill Evans, Parker, and Monk. Maybe the Davis but I don't actually own a copy of Bitches Brew yet, so seems odd to just get the extras...
