they did 45s and 33 in the AP series. we're likely looking at 33 mono + stereo reissues at whatever the AP price is nowadays. he also said they will be doing some contemporary records titles (fremer mentioned them releasing the BG cut of Way Out West). They will also likely choose some titles for UHQR.If this means more 45rpm $60 pressings, then whatever.
If this means 33rpms from $30-$40 bucks I'm all ears.

I think D2C may just be direct to consumer? Does Blue Note generally have direct sales in Europe? If not, you may need to wait for it to hit the usual suspects in terms of pre-orders. I've seen Wilkins play with Joel Ross, but looking forward to seeing his own quartet in a couple months.Oooh thanks for sharing. No sign of anything on the UK store yet though. I wonder what a D2C exclusive is?

This is super cool!!
Ill Considered has been releasing a performance over 12 parts as part of the 12 Days Of Christmas, with each day being a dedication/thank you for people they have been thankful for. I had the great and unexpected pleasure of having today's release dedicated to me! Really cool of them!

33s @ $40 each for the Prestige series...they are just represses, so should have same metal, jackets, deep groove, etc...they did 45s and 33 in the AP series. we're likely looking at 33 mono + stereo reissues at whatever the AP price is nowadays. he also said they will be doing some contemporary records titles (fremer mentioned them releasing the BG cut of Way Out West). Many older Contemporary OJC's are very good as well. Like everything, not the bargains they once were bit still good. For example the Art Pepper Curtis Counce, and Sonny Rollins ones. My experience with newer Concord Contemporary releases is less.33s @ $40 each for the Prestige series...they are just represses, so should have same metal, jackets, deep groove, etc...
contemporary is a separate series...my take from skimming the vid
pro-tip: if you hurry you can still find Contemporary Japanese pressings from the 70's that absolutely kill it from a SQ standpoint. King reissued a bunch of them in a number of different series and the big titles (Rhythm Section, Poll Winners, etc) are an easy find and usually pretty cheap...I'm always on the lookout for the rarer titles...
Completely agree. I have a few of the 80's OJC's which sound great to me! They are usually quite affordable as well, I think I have paid no more than £15 for the ones that I have. Many older Contemporary OJC's are very good as well. Speaking of Parker, I wasn't familiar with this album but it has made many top 2021 lists, and based on what I listened to online, it's worthy:Has William Parker ever been on a bad record? All-time great.
So Chad & Craft ?. Very cool! I might come up with a wish list for shits a giggles later tonight. Anyone else up ?Craft put an email out for the 70th anniversary of Contemporary. No vinyl news but setting the stage for the series
