Right, but aren't they reusing the classic plates on this title? It’s the new Acoustic Sounds reissue. Cut by Bernie and pressed at QRP
haven’t compared runs yet. This TP is from Feb 2024.Right, but aren't they reusing the classic plates on this title?
Nubya Garcia album coming September.
Yes, they are. In every case that there are old Classic plates, Chad will use them. Higher margin. And to be fair, there is really no reasons not to, the Classic cuts are excellent.Right, but aren't they reusing the classic plates on this title?
I ordered it today on the SOV sale.Yes, they are. In every case that there are old Classic plates, Chad will use them. Higher margin. And to be fair, there is really no reasons not to, the Classic cuts are excellent.

Sorry if already posted, but the “audiocast” of Art/Laurie Pepper’s book “Straight Life” (his memoir/biography) is on Bandcamp at “name your price” (site even says to pay nothing)
I haven’t read the book, but this “audiocast” seems like an audiobook plus bc, in addition to reading the book, there are many musical snippets and even some recordings of some of the people’s original content. For example, the narrator reads a section of Art Pepper talking about a bar scene in his youth, and then there’s the actual recording of him telling the story itself.
Trigger warning if you’re bothered by casual retellings of spousal and child abuse. Sheesh.
Will definitely yoink that Cal Tjader.
