The reason I've been helping Universal with loaning my original pressings is because their archives flooded several years ago (it was located on at Southbank and the river flooded). They have a very loose list of albums on their radar to reissue and while they technically don't need permission from the artists/families of the artists, they still want to reach out to them for approval. They don't always own the rights to session photos so they also have to reach out to whoever owns them. There are layers of these loopholes to jump through and I get the impression that there might have been delays in the series when it came to ticking all of the boxes for the 'second wave' of them.
The Harriott reissue does look a bit saturated alongside the original. I imagine the scanner is of such a high quality that it would be exact, so there must have been a reason they edited it like this. Its also listed as stereo which is interesting as the original was only ever released as mono.
Im not too sure about their plans on sleeves for the future, but I can ask the question. I've been chatting with them back and forth about the potential albums coming up next year and should be meeting them again in a couple of weeks.
