Here are my best picture nominee rankings. I know my bottom two are much higher for most people but I just didn't enjoy either one at all.

1-Coda
2-Belfast
3-West Side Story
4-Licorice Pizza
5-Drive My Car
6-King Richard
7-Don't Look Up
8-Nightmare Alley
9-Dune
10-Power of the Dog

Fun, wacky Oscar prediction : by virtue of preferential ballot rules for Best Picture, and it being a crowd-pleaser that everyone generally at least likes, if not loves, Coda surprises with a win. It's maybe the least divisive film in this list, which makes me think it's possible.

True 👍I almost forgot about Morbius because its been delayed so many times...Let's hope April 1st doesn't turn into an April Fools 😆
I'm one of probably like 18 weirdos who have actually been anticipating it. It honestly doesn't look very good but Morbius was one of my favorite Marvel characters as a kid so I'm inevitably gonna see it no matter what.

I keep feeling like I should have watched CODA while I had a free Apple TV trial. But I was too focused on finally getting to see The Tragedy of Macbeth 😅

Paint me a weirdo to then because I have also been anticipating this film for a while now! Morbius is one of my favourtite Marvel characters as well. I remember watching the Amazing Spider-Man on Saturday Mornings back in the 90s just because he was in it 🤷‍♂️

I would be genuinely amazed if CODA managed to eek out a best picture win with only 3 nominations and no precursors other than SAG. It's def getting supporting actor and MAYBE screenplay, but all 3? Wouldn't be nearly as offensive as Green Book winning, but still don't think it should. It's good, but it's probably the lowest risk movie in the lineup. Still going with Power of the Dog for now.

Aside my having it ranked first I agree there's a chance that could happen. I bet way more people have power of the dog first but I think coda is unidfenwove and most likely no lower than 4th or 5th on most ballots while POTD could be ranked lower on some
ballots.

Power of the Dog is the outcome I feel is most likely too, but I feel hesitant to rule out CODA.

woof, what a stinker
Although that movie wasn't great it certainly is not as bad as people make it out to be imo.
I agree with both of these posts, lol. The extended cut is what I watched, so seeing the R-rated movie they actually intended to make over the PG-13 frankenfilm the studio shoved into theaters probably improved my opinion of it. Plus watching it as a relic where I know this Daredevil is never going to show up again vs. the viewpoint of someone in 2003 hoping to see a good movie.

The best thing Daredevil did was introduce the world to Evanescence.

I don't think it will necessarily appeal to everyone, but personally I thought Turning Red was a very fun and charming movie!

extremely excited to watch this soon

My daughter is about to turn 13, so we were definitely the target audience, but we all really enjoyed it.
I just watched this with the kids last night. I LOVED it. It was so cute and it even got huge laughs from my very moody tweenage daughter. It’s a great movie for kids around this age and the boys enjoy it as much as my girl.

Watched Breaking the Waves last night

AKA the most depressing movie ever. Lars did one of my favorite movies, Dancer in the Dark, but I have to be in the right frame to watch it.
I sometimes think bad movies tell us more about society than the good/great ones. They're honest time capsules.
Is this what you were thinking about while you were on Mars?
