I like Guardians 2 better than the first one
I have heard a lot of people say that, for me Vol. 2 is a continuation of the first movie I don’t dislike it. It’s just more of the same thing but is lacking the freshness that came with the first film. Between the two I prefer the first to the second mainly I like moves where they form a team. My favorite LOTR movie is Fellowship for much of the same reason.

You mean filmography altogether (having not seen anything past Vol. 2) or simply marathoning rewatches?

If filmography, Thor: Ragnarok and Shang-Chi are the only must-sees for me (though, unpopular opinion, I did like how weird Eternals got).
Yes, I was working my way through Phase 3. I think I will eventually pick it back up, but I have access to a Plex server with a bunch of Criterion movies on it, so I’ve been indulging my inner film nerd/art snob.

I still refuse to acknowledge the concept that the Lord of the Rings is three separate movies. It's one contained stories across three installments. You can't watch any one film without watching the other two, they don't stand alone. Whereas, Guardians 1 can be it's own movie and Guardians 2, though you lose some context, is it's own contained story.

I manage, I still have cable and as such I still experience the Joy of flipping through channels on the weekend and either LOTR or Star Wars will likely be on TNT and while I usually am not gonna catch it from start and rarely watch it through to completion and am more than happy to sit through chunks at a time. Your point ultimately still stands, there is one big bad and as long as Sauron and the one ring are still kicking around you’d wanna know what is gonna happen next.

has anyone seen this movie, she will? can't really search "she will" on here because the words are too short/common. :/

i'd never heard of it until this youtube channel (one of my favorites) uploaded this yesterday. looks like it's up my alley but reviews seemed mixed. i did buy the clint mansell soundtrack today (signed!) solely based on hearing the track used here.

I haven't yet, but it's on my Shudder watch list. It's supposedly light on plot and heavy on atmosphere and visuals. That plus a Mansell score is a recipe enough for me!
