I always get Breakdown mixed up with the other trucking based 90s action movie, Black Dog.
I think i've seen it once maybe 24 years ago so couldn't really remember it and for a long time just thought of it as another mediocre late 90's action/thriller but decided to give it a shot after seeing blu-ray.com's review and i'm happy to say that i was wrong haha It's brilliant.man, this movie is underappreciated. worth watching for jt walsh alone.
edit: and i see this is finally out on bluray (why no 4k at this point, though?), so i just done bought one.
This feels like another iteration of the Goncherov meme
I’ve actually seen this! My Father-in-law basically watches 3 things on TV, Cardinals Baseball, Westerns and rugged reality shows where people do some difficult task (mining, Fishing, trucking) in Alaska. He had this on one day while we were visiting, the name is definitely better than the movie.
Doesn't look like Aliens or The Beef are in it, so... Maybe?

I would rather just watch Raiders again for the millionth time. If they want to launch a new Indiana Jones OP, I feel like the template it right there in the Young Indiana Jones series. They need to mine the past as opposed to still lurching awkwardly forward.Despite that it's still serving me Crystal Skull. Sallah giving a speech about how meaningful their adventures were feels...odd. I trust Mangold more to do something with this franchise (though I'm less juiced by Logan than most), but it feels best left in the past. Hoping for the best, but not expecting much.

This'un today, too.
There’s some irony in Spielberg and Lucas cobbling Indiana Jones together from the two-fisted serials they loved as children. Seems there’d be more value in taking the same approach to recapturing a feeling rather than just trying to do the same thing one more time.I would rather just watch Raiders again for the millionth time. I intitially had hope that the Emily Blount/Rock Jungle Cruise would kinda pick up the mantle and make a fun explorer adventuring into the unknown and it coulda been really fun except for all the god awful CGI ruined it. I appreciate that it’s more humane and a lot easier for animals to be CGI but why does everything have to be CGI? Say what you will about catching a bit and of a reflection off the glass separating Ford from a Cobra in the snake pit but the flint of glare was way easier to overlook than a whole movie of CGI flora and Fauna. There’s some irony in Spielberg and Lucas cobbling Indiana Jones together from the two-fisted serials they loved as children. I was watching the MU in order and I hit Doctor Strange and then Guardians 2. I gave up after Guardians 2. It broke me. I'm not sure I can do this y'all.
It's going to be reeeeeaaaalllyy tough for me to suspend my disbelief that Harrison Ford has the capacity to do his own stunts. He's how old now?? ITA with @TenderLovingKiller® reboot with a young Indy franchise. That TV show was one of my favorites as a kid.
