Supposedly, Scorsese had to scrub the cocaine rock outta Neil’s left nostril in post as it was more than a bit distracting.

I don’t think that late era run-and-gun Ridley Scott was the best fit for Gladiator II, but it wasn’t the worst time I’ve ever had in a theater. Denzel was eating himself a ham sandwich.

gladiator ii was just... whelming, i guess. more campy than its predecessor with less to say, and the plot moved forward without any real intrigue or emotion. works just fine as a popcorn movie and looked good on a big screen. i guess i'm glad i didn't hate it, but i won't really have any attachment to it, either.

The original is pretty campy, more than people remember.

Feels like it shoulda been released in July but since the original won best picture they musta figured they would see if they core score some trophies.

The Coens have probably my favorite filmography in the western canon, so I don't know that I could ever set it in stone
